FG TARGETS TO FINANCE N762.5BN TREASURY BILL THROUGH $2.5BN EUROBOND

The federal government Wednesday in Abuja said its proposed $2.5 billion Eurobond already approved by the National Assembly would yield N762.5 billion proceeds for the refinancing of treasury bills. According to the government, the deal would result in annual savings of N64 billion.

The Debt Management Office has released a statement explaining the $2.5 billion external financing arrangement. The agency said the loan is not a new incremental debt.
Read the full statement below.
The proposed move is to help refinance the country’s maturing domestic debts and re-balance Federal Government debt portfolio, the Debt Management Office, DMO, said. It is not a new or incremental debt because it will not lead to an increase in the public debt stock. The DMO said the refinancing arrangement would involve increasing the external component of the debt portfolio while reducing the domestic in line with the country’s Debt Management Strategy. The strategy is targeted at achieving a 40:60 per cent ratio for external to domestic debt from the current position of about 25:75, respectively. The DMO said proceeds from the refinancing plan would be converted to Naira and used to redeem relatively more expensive domestic debts. Government said it was expected to save about N64 billion per annum in interest cost which would help reduce the Debt Service/Revenue ratio and free up the fiscal space for other government priorities.

More so the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, who made this disclosure while briefing journalists at the end of the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in the State House, said the $2.5 billion Eurobond issuance was not a new borrowing but had already been approved by the National Assembly as part of the government’s external borrowing plan. She recalled how the $500 million bond issued in November 2017, yielded N162.50 billion, which she said was used to redeem treasury bills, which matured in December 2017 and led to a significant drop in the bid rates of both treasury bills and federal government bonds.

Giving the impact of the $500 million bond, Adeosun disclosed that in December 2017 and January 2018, treasury bills bid rates dropped from about 16 per cent to 13 per cent while government bond rates dropped from about 16-16.50 per cent to 13.50 per cent.

“This translates to savings for government on new borrowing while also making the cost of borrowing for the real sector cheaper since the sovereign rate serves as a benchmark for other borrowers,” she stated.

Stating the potential savings from the $2.5 billion refinancing, the minister said the estimated proceeds of the N762.5 billion expected from the bond would be used to redeem treasury bills in a way that “at the estimated current NTB rates of 15 per cent (following mop-up operations by the CBN), the savings from the refinancing of N762.5 billion of domestic debt using external capital raising is about N64 billion per annum.”

EFFECTIVE WAYS TO OPTIMIZING YOUR DATA PLAN

EFFECTIVE WAYS TO OPTIMIZING YOUR DATA PLAN
The advent of sophisticated Modern technology have evidently increased man’s desire to know more and one of the easiest way to obtain any information is through surfing the internet. Some countries enjoy unlimited data at a lower fee while in some other countries unlimited data can be very pricey or almost not available. Against the backdrop we will be pointing out some effective ways one can minimize the gigabytes consumed by there device with focus on Nigeria.
1. Have a proper knowledge of how many gigabytes you consume in a month, week or even day.
2. Know your priority in data (Glo and Airtel are the cheapest;  Etisalat and MTN where are available are the fastest )
3. Set data alerts and limit on your device, you will be prompted when you are about to exceed  (This can be done through settings or you download specialized app for it)
4. Always check your data usage but from your network provider and from your phone
5. Manage or disable  push notifications on your diverse ( more especially social media application )
6. Disable auto play for videos  on your diverse social media platforms (more especially the recently update Facebook and Instagram, so many are not aware and this really drains gigabytes of data).
7. Limit, Disable or restrict back ground data on your device (Androids and iphones does that perfectly )
8. Disable and restrict some apps you are not using
9. Cache google map for offline use  or better still disable
10. Make good use of your cache  don’t delete then save when in urgent need for space
11. Ensure you purchase complete and quality data . So many have been scammed with so many fake data at diverse ridiculous prices (don’t be a victim ). Inquire on MTN QUALITY DATA here
12. Use WiFi where ever possible
13. Change your browsing habits
14. Apply caution while streaming: Streaming videos is indeed the highest consumer of data just 1 hour streaming of a HD video can cost more than 1gigabytes of data.  You  can subscribe to streaming services with offline options and limit your use of streaming services . They can really drain data
15. You can compress your data (google chrome and onovo extend can be helpful)
16. Update over WiFi only
17. Keep an eye on your apps
18. Stick to mobile version of some websites
19. Be aware that anything video drains data ( ranging from video calls to live videos ).. use them with caution
20. Sync your playlist do you can listen to music offline (Apple music  or  Spotify users can do that better

UNDERSTANDING THE DATA PLAN
For those who are not familiar with the data plan, let us quickly explain.
Globalization has made the utilization of global space a necessity and this is evident in the daily use of internet. On the average, Nigeria is among the first ten countries that duly utilize the internet. To harness this great opportunity Telecommunication networks have devised diverse internet plans to accommodate every individual according to their needs.
For instance with Glo you can get 1.2gig for 1000, 4.5gig for 2500, they even recently introduced 3gig student plan for 500 naira. Airtel also introduced 1gig for 1000, 2gig for 2000, 4.5gig for 3500 with different bonanza packs. Etisalat also introduced 1gig for 1000 for specific SIM cards. MTN has 2015 data plan, night/day plan 4.5gig for 2500.
There is no doubt that this data plans are wonderful, however it does not necessarily in close every individual data needs. On a bid to accommodate some segment the FREDKINGS WORLD OF TECHNOLOGY stepped in to bridge some of the gaps.

HOW DOES THE DATA PLAN WORK
The FREDKINGS WORLD OF TECHNOLOGY DATA PLAN is not in any way a cheat, it is a very legal subscription, which was subsidized from bulk purchase. The data plan works on any device at all (BB10, HTC, IPHONE, IPAD, LAPTOP, MODEM, MICROSOFT, NOKIA ETC. It does not require additional configuration, it is very flexible. You can even call the networks customer care should you have issues with it.

To subscribe is very simple and stress free. Simply send the phone number you want the data on and the amount of data that you want to 07038812193 we will contact you immediately and send your data. The turnaround time for data processing is 5minutes.
Payments can be made through bank or through recharge cards. Please understand that recharge cards payments attracts 100 naira increase in price. We only send account numbers when requested, it is not wonderful to post account number online, this is to also help us know the exact customer that made the payment.
We are at your service 24hours, however from next year it will be advisable to send in your request at night.

POPULAR BLOGGER LINDA IKEJI GIVES HER TESTIMONY:NEVER SLEPT WITH A MAN

POPULAR BLOGGER LINDA IKEJI GIVES HER TESTIMONY

My name is Linda Ikeji. I'm a blogger. I'm 35 years old and I have never...never ever in my life slept with a man for money. Not only have I never done it, I have never even considered it...and here I am with a house that cost me over half a billion naira.

Listen, you are beautiful and you are stronger than you know. There's absolutely nothing you can't achieve if you set your mind to it, put your heart and soul into it.
Up until five years ago, I was a struggling entrepreneur. I can't tell you how many offices in this Lagos I sat in for hours waiting to see people who could support my business...but most times, I never passed the reception area. But I never gave up and I never stopped believing and here I am today.

You too can be this..you can be better than this. No dream is too big, no dream is too small, no mountain is too high...it's all in your mind. It's all up to you. If you believe in you, in your God who is guiding you, then the sky is your starting point.

Please stop waiting around for a man to give to you...to put food on your table and put clothes on your back. I promise you, you can do it for yourself. Start thinking big, believe in yourself, be creative and start working. Realize that your dreams are valid...and nobody will make your dreams come true except you. Find what you are good at. Find something that you are passionate about. Work hard at it. Be consistent. Be patient. Start young. Even if you're not young, it's never too late!

I have been hustling since I left secondary school..started modeling before I entered university in 1998. Was running a modeling agency even while I was a student and made it a full time business after I left university. I never doubted that I would succeed one day, because I was determined. And please do not think this happened over night. I've been blogging since 2006...November this year will make it exactly 9 years. God, consistency and hard work brought me here today.

Unfortunately, a lot of our young girls aren't patient and some are lazy, they want it quick and fast but it doesn't work like that. Success takes time - takes hard work - takes passion - takes consistency - but more than anything else, it takes the Grace of God.

I was a 30 year old broke woman and on my birthday, a very sad and depressed me turned to God and begged him. I told Him you promised me, when will You fulfill Your promise? Am I not Your child? Have I not lived according to Your teachings? When will You bless me? Please God help me...and with tears in my eyes, I begged Him. I cried and I begged and I begged and I begged. A few months later my life changed. Never underestimate God's love for you and the power of prayer.

And never stop working. Listen, I make enough money to hire so many people to work on this blog while I go do other things and enjoy myself...but I don't do that. I'm up while some of you are sleeping, and already blogging before some of you wake up. I don't take this for granted. I know to stay on top, I have to constantly work and nobody will be as dedicated as I am because this is not their own thing. It's mine and I have to keep feeding it. So I'm constantly here!

Young ladies, I promise you...you too can do this. You don't need to spread your legs for any bladdy man - because of how much? N200k? That's how much my shoes cost - so why should you give up your body for that? Your sacred body? God's temple? N200k that you can make in a week or even in a day if you pursue your dreams and still have your dignity intact? You think people don't see that you're messing around with all dem old married men and talking about it? Think ladies, think! When next a man propositions you...tell him to get lost, that you will get yours yourself! Abi, aren't you a woman? You know what they say about women? "A woman is like a tea bag, you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water.". You are so strong, you don't even know!

Also, if you want God to bless you, you have to have a clean heart. All these backbiting, hating on others, trying to bring people down with hateful words/actions etc - God doesn't like ugly. He has over 6 billion people to look after and you think he will pay extra attention to you if your heart is ugly? Wish people well, help people when you can. Be good to others. But more than anything else be good to yourself. Believe in yourself. It's very easy to give in to feelings of self-doubt and back down when things get tough, but you have to know that God will not give you anything you can't handle.

I swear to you, you are underestimating yourself. If you know the power that you have inside. If you know the things that you are capable of. If you know how far you can go...how high you can reach but you are holding yourself back because you're afraid of failing, because you don't think you have it in you. If only you know that you're stronger than you think. You are so powerful, you don't even know it. I'm not more special than you are. I don't have two heads. We serve the same God. Why can't you succeed? Think ladies, think.

Like Barack Obama's sister said, poverty is not an excuse! I used to sell/market beer at Sheraton hotel, Lagos when I was in university for N1,000 a day. I once lived on 'puff puff' and garri for weeks in UNILAG and I was supposedly a top model but nobody knew what I was going through.

Trust me, I knew poverty. Did you know I lived in Idi-oro, Mushin for 15 years? Up until when I was 25? Did you live in Mushin? Eh, so what's your excuse? I can't even say some things here for my family's privacy but here I am today because I never doubted myself and I never allowed all the doubters to distract me. I was focused. I was determined. I worked hard and I knew the God I served won't let me down. The road was long, sometimes very frustrating and painful but look at me now. God did it because he saw that I was willing!

"Because I am a woman, I must make unusual efforts to succeed. If I fail, no one will say, “She doesn’t have what it takes.” They will say, “Women don’t have what it takes.”

Please believe in yourself and watch God use you to set as an example for others.

May all your dreams come true!

Kisses.

Oh by the way (addressing the argument I read online this weekend) I don't do anything else. I blog from 4am till midnight, where do I have time to do anything else? When God wants to bless you, He will bless you...even if you're selling toothpick.

Cheers!
