UNDERSTANDING NYSC 2014 BATCh B STREAM. 2
After the post by on NYSC website, dated the 19th September 2014 many still don't really understand it. Information for living have received so many mails requesting for the explanation. As we have always done, we will try to explain to you statement by statement.

DATES FOR REGISTRATION OF PROSPECTIVE CORPS MEMBERS FOR 2014 BATCH 'B' ABRIDGED ORIENTATION COURSE

1.In consideration of the presidential pronouncement that all schools should not reopen at this time of national health emergency, the abridged version of the 2014 Batch 'B' orientation course is scheduled to commence from 1st to 8th September, 2014.

Explanation: The national health emergency as we all know is the sudden entrance of deadly Ebola Virus in the country. Against this backdrop NYSC abridged (that is cut short) the normal three weeks exercise to only hold for 8days (this is the general day the whole process will take) however each individual have there own days.

2.
Prospective corps members deployed to the affected states scheduled for the exercise are to report at the designated orientation camps reflected in their Call-Up Letters for registration.

EXPLANATION: individuals posted to Adamawa, Yobe, Osun, Gombe, Jigawa, Bauchi, Bornu , Kano and Lagos stream 2, are to report to the camps indicated in there call up letter. The only exception here is kano that has kano camp in there own call up letter but will report to Kogi

3.
In order to ensure seamless exercise, prospective corps members are advised to report on the dates indicated in the time table presented hereunder. The grouping is in accordance with the geo-political zones where the corps members come from.

Explanation: This means in other to ensure uninterrupted exercise, prospective corp members are advised to come only in the time indicated in there call up letter.
However, since the place is a camp just like normal NYSC temporary accomdation might be given to those that comes from a very far distance. Is obvious there won't be parade.

There are six geopolitical zones in Nigeria they include:
*.SOUTH EAST ------------------Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi, Imo and Abia states.
*.SOUTH SOUTH ----------------Edo, Delta, Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross-River and Akwa-Ibom states
*.SOUTH WEST ------------------Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti states
*.NORTH CENTRAL ---------------Kwara, Kogi, Plateau, Nassarawa, Benue, Niger and F.C.T
*.NORTH EAST -------------------Taraba, Adamawa, Borno, Yobe, Bauchi and Gombe states
*.NORTH WEST -----------------Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi, Kaduna, Katsina, Kano and Jigawa states.

Individuals from each of the states above should locate there geopolitical zone and know the date they are expected in camp.

Explanation: this means that those from posted to Adamawa will report to Niger state at the time specified for his/her geopolitical zone.

BAUCHI: PLATEAU STATE: NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Mangu Local Government Area, Mangu, Plateau State.

Explanation: this means that prospective corp members posted to Bauchi will report to Plateau for the exercise. With each coming in the day specified for there geopolitical zone.

BORNO: NASARAWA STATE: Magaji Dan-Yamusa Permanent Orientation Camp Keffi, Nasarawa State.

GOMBE :BENUE STATE: NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Wannune, Tarka Local Government Area, Kilometer 35 Makurdi Gboko, Road, Benue State

Explanation: individual posted to Gombe will report to Benue for the exercise. in accordance to there geopolitical zone

JIGAWA: KADUNA STATE: NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Kaduna-Abuja Road, Kaduna State.

North West/South West/South East7th - 8th Sept, 2014

Explanation: This means that corp members posted to Jigawa will report to Kaduna for their exercise. In accordance to their geopolitical zone.

KANO: KOGI STATE: NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Asaya, Kabba Local Government Area, Kogi State.

South East/North East7th - 8th Sept, 2014

Explanation: those posted to Kano will report to Kogi as explained above.

LAGOS: LAGOS STATE: NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Iyana Ipaja, Agege, Lagos State.

Explanation: This means that those posted to Lagos will go to normallagos camp for the exercise. In accordance to there geopolitical zone.

OSUN: OSUN STATE: NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Aisu College Hospital Road, Ede North Local Government Area, Ede, Osun State.

Explanation: Osun reports to the same state as explained above.

YOBE: FCT: NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Kubwa, Bwari Area Council, FCT.

Explanation: corp members posted to Yobe should report to FCT according to there states.

2.Prospective corps members are to come along with details of their bank accounts as follows:.

iv.Sort Code:

Explanation you go to the place with your normal bank details.
To get your sort code kindly go to your bank where you opened the account.
During PPA your place of  deployment will open another one for you, or they will continue with your personal own.

.Prospective Corps members are to equally note that the registration process will not take more than one hour.
Thereafter, they are to collect their kits and proceed immediately to their states of deployment or relocation as the case may be for the completion of the remaining formalities.

Explanation:
You are not spending more than an hour for the exercise.
After collection of kits you transport to the place of PPA. If not come prepared.
Basically, come with what can carry you for 1 week, so that if move direct to your ppa, you can make arrangements in 3days. Then return home for full preparation. For those that want to redeploy simply indicate interest there. That is what relocation means. If you have marriage certificate or medical report you come with it. General redeployment will be done according to Geo-political zone. But to those that indicated interest

Explanation: this means it is an exercise not a full camping orientation. Is basically registration.
Management means it is certified by NYSC.
