UNIZIK POST GRADUATE APPlICATION UPDATE

Dear Prospective Student,

Sequel to the Email earlier sent to you, find some new and additional information for noting.

Recall that there shall be a screening test for all applicants for admission into the 2015/2016 academic year.  The admission screening test shall comprise three parts: Part A, Part B and Part C.

PGD candidates shall participate in only Part A;
Masters candidates shall participate in Part A and Part B;
PhD candidates shall participate in Part A, Part B and Part C.

Below is some description of the Parts.

Part A
Part A shall comprise two sections
Section I: Language Aptitude Test
Section II: Analytic Aptitude Test
Question Format: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
Duration: 1hr 30 mins
No of Questions: 100 questions

Part B
Test in Department and/or Area of Study: The questions in this Part shall be drawn from the first degree
curriculum of the department/area of study into which the candidate is seeking admission.
Question Format: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
Time: 1hr
No of Questions: 50 Questions

Part C
Defence of Proposal: PhD candidates shall present and defend the Proposal submitted while completing the admission application form online.
Date of Screening Test
Part A and Part B shall take place on Wednesday, 16 September, 2015 while Part C will be on Thursday, 17 September, 2015.

Venue
All candidates shall undergo the test at the Awka Campus of the University. The specific Venues for each candidate shall be communicated subsequently.

Time of Screening Test
On 16 September, checking into the Halls shall begin at 10 a.m. Candidates are expected to be at the assigned venues at 9.30 a.m. On 17 September, the Defence shall begin at 10 a.m. at the assigned venues

Items for Checking in:
Candidates should bring the following items for checking into the Exam Halls:

1. Copy of their completed Application Form;
2. Final Letter of Invitation to the NAU SPGS Screening Test 2015

Processing Fees and Payment Schedule

The following is the schedule of fees payable by each candidate for the screening test
PhD Candidates: N7,000 (Seven thousand naira only)
PGD and Masters Candidates:N5,000 (five thousand naira only)

Dates for Payment: Tuesday, 1st September to Wednesday, 9th September, 2015

The processing fees may be paid in any Branch of Access Bank nationwide into the following Account:

NOTE: THE PROCESSING FEE MUST BE PAID BETWEEN 1ST AND 9TH SEPTEMBER TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE SCREENING TEST. ONLY CANDIDATES WHOSE PAYMENTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED BY 9TH SEPTEMBER, 2015 SHALL RECEIVE THE FINAL INVITATION FOR THE SCREENING TEST.

Nnamdi Azikiwe University has scheduled its
2015/2016 Post
UTME Screening / Quality Assurance Exercise for
candidates who chose the University as first choice. Candidates who made the affiliate institutions of the University such as Enugu State College of Education (Technical); Federal College of Education,Umunze; Auchi Polytechnic and Pope John Paul II Major Seminary Okpuno (For Philosophy) as their first choice are required to apply and participate in the screening exercise.
The dates are as outlined below:

2. ELIGIBILITY
a. Candidates who made Nnamdi Azikiwe University and its affiliate institutions their first choice are eligible to apply.
b. The general cut-off mark is 200 except for
Faculties/Departments indicated below:
Faculties with UTME cut-off mark of 180

3. REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
a. Registration shall start on Wednesday, 12th August 2015 and end on Wednesday, 2nd September 2015. Ensure that you beat the dateline
b. Candidates are to register online at the University’s portal
my.unizik.edu.ng or go to www.unizik.edu.ng for
the link to the above portal
c. Candidates are to scan and upload to the portal their recent digital passport-size photographs measuring not more than 200 x 150 mm showing both ears and no cap or eye glasses. Blurred photographs shall disqualify the applicant. Candidates are to print the completed online form for presentation on the day of the examination.
d. The pin codes for registration can be obtained from branches of any of the following banks, on the payment of the sum of N2,000.00 (Two Thousand Naira) only:
Diamond Bank, Fidelity Bank, First Bank, Access Bank,
UBA, Enterprise Bank, Zenith Bank, GTB
e. The candidates should thereafter proceed to any cybercafé of their choice for the online registration.
4. TIME AND REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SCREENING
EXERCISE
Accreditation of candidates commences at 8.00a.m. each day.
Candidates are to report with:
a. Two (2) copies of their online registration forms showing their photographs.
b. Baptismal Card or Certificate of Birth Registration
c. Photocopies of JAMB Slip showing their
photographs and
JAMB online Result. (a copy each)
d. Local Government Identification Certificate
5. RESTRICTIONS
a. Only bona fide candidates shall be allowed into the University.
b. Parents and guardians are, therefore, strongly advised against attempting to enter the University Campus.
Security shall be tight.
c. Candidates who do not register online shall not be received for the screening exercise.
d. The University will not be liable for any payment made with wrong JAMB registration number at the Bank;
f. The University shall also not be liable to any fraudulent payments made anywhere that are not in line with the directives of the University

UNN POST GRADUATE EXAM DATE 2015

This is to inform individuals who purchased the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Post graduate form; that the post graduate Screening examination will hold on the 21st of August 2015.
