After much deliberation and supposed misunderstanding on NYSC Batch B stream 2 camping, it is essential that you know this truth.
The information which says that corp members should report to camp on first is correct, but not complete.
Please note that officially camp opens on the 31st day of August against 1st of September which is the first day of the registration exercise.
From the former time table before the change, all corp members are to report to camp on the first day of September and register till the third day of September. But that is no longer the case, as announced by NYSC (www.nysc.gov.ng) and also explained here.
All corp member are to arrive camp only according to Geo political zone from 1st to 8th.
In our previous post we took time to explain explicitly what NYSC meant by there update and that still hold.
So many Stream 2 corpers have sent messages clamouring for camping. But the truth is that, the government actually meant well for you.
As a corp member you are government property, if you read through their material you will see, you are to be treated specially with diverse privileges.
So NYSC in coalition with government decided to abridge/cut the orientation exercise.
The materials that you bought are not waste,as the orientation exercise is only about 10% of the service year. The bulk of activity lies in your primary assignment.
Just as explained in our previous posts, corp members are to arrive camp from 1st to 8th September according to their geopolitical zone.

It is advisable to come in the evening of a day before your date of registration.
This is because from the 31st Aug to 8th September camp will be open, and no stream 2 will be sent packing for coming earlier. But they will only attend to you on your own day.So is not a bad idea to come a day before.
There will be temporary accommodation basically for individual who registration date falls on that day.
It is not in any way advisable to go to camp on the 1st if your Geo political zone is not registering on that day.
What then is the essence of seamless exercise
The maximum day you can spend in camp is two days.
Registration lasts only for an hour
Collect your kits and head for your primary assignment.
Don't forget to come with your bank details, sort code inclusive.
Your allowance for the month of August will be completely paid.
Other information that you need will be given to you in the course of your primary assignment.
There will be redeployment especially for those posted to threatened area.
Other forms of redeployment should come with evidence
This is the resolution of NYSC through its management .
Though many are many might not be happy with it, but is for the betterment of everyone
